I woke up Saturday Morning to this...
Hayley and Lisa had stayed up late and decorated the living room and kitchen with tons of balloons and crate paper in my favorite colors. It was so sweet of them and I was very surprised.
The also made me a banner with "Happy Birthday" in German. Well, really that is not how you say it, but it is how Lisa and I like to say it.
Last, Dennis and my Dad made a wonderful breakfast for me. Waffles...yum!
Marlene arrived for my birthday and it was the greatest present ever. There will be plenty of pictures of her to come. Thanks everyone for making my birthday the best ever.

Mother's Day
I am only now getting the opportunity to blog about Mother's Day. I hope you all had a wonderful day with your families. We got to spend Mother's Day with my mom. It was so wonderful. She does so much for our family it was fun to get to focus on her. My dad made dinner and Lisa made the rolls. Hans, Tasha, and the kids came over. They are always so much fun. Lisa, Hayley, Myself, and Dennis were also there. We got my mom a much needed knife sharpener. She was so excited!
In the early afternoon Dennis and I also got the opportunity to go and see his mother. She passed away in 2001. I never got to meet her, but have heard so much about her its like we were old friends. Dennis and I shared some tears and he told me some wonderful stories. It was nice to get to spend a little quiet time remembering Nancy. I never noticed the scripture on her headstone. It is Enos 1:27..."And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen." It brought tears to our eyes. So please, hug your mom today.

Only a Few More Weeks
Well, it is only two weeks away now. On Saturday May 24, 2008 Dennis and I will be sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple. We are so excited! This has been a long road for us. On Tuesday we met with the stake president and were issued our temple recommends. It was a great day. We sent out the invitations yesterday. Hayley was kind enough to help me make them and address them. We filled up the room! There are so many people who want to share our special day. Next Saturday Marlene arrives. It is also my 29th birthday. Even though she won't be sealed to us. She will be there for the pictures which is very special. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality. We couldn't have done it without you.

Marlene Will Be Here Soon!
Hello friends!
Everything with us is going great. Marlene will be here on May 17th. We are so excited to see her. She is staying for the entire summer, so we have lots of fun things planned. Since she is turning 12 in June, we signed her up for girls camp. So she will be headed up to Camp Shalom the first week of June. We are so excited for her, as we know she will have a wonderful time.
Dennis is doing well. He is helping my uncle install the new water heaters today at my mom's house. We will be happy to have full hot water usage, as it has been sparce the last week.
I am working today. It has been a long week for me. But I will get to take next Friday off, to make up for the additional hours. I am very excited. My mom is kind enough to go to the paper shop today. Our sealing is less than a month away and we need to get the invitations out. We are very excited for our sealing. I cannot believe how close it is!
Well that is our update! I will try and post pictures this week.

This Weekend Was All About Dennis
We had the most beautiful weekend! Saturday was full of yardwork and cleaning. Dennis helped my dad around the yard. Dad is so grateful to have him around. One of the sprinkler pipes had broken and needed to be repaired. A project that would have taken Dad 4 hours to complete was fixed in a mere 45 minutes. Mom and I cleaned and washed all of the cars. They were all filthy and needed a bath.
Sunday was a terrific milestone in our family. On Sunday morning Dennis got a call from the stake presidents office. He was going to be ordained an Elder. We were so excited and knew the family would all want to be there. So Dennis made about a hundred phone calls and arranged for everyone to come. They had to move the ordination to the Relief Society room because there were so many people in attendance. It was a very special day for Dennis and a huge step for him. My Dad performed the ordination and brought all of us to tears. After church we had a luncheon. It was terrific to be able to talk to everyone. The kids had fun playing baseball in the yard. Ashley was so proud...she hit the ball 10 times! I took pictures, but forgot the cord to download it to the computer. So those will be forthcoming.
Thank you to all who came yesterday to support Dennis. It is very much appreciated.

Update!
Dennis and I are doing well. Dennis is working at Canyon Park Technology Center as a HVAC apprentice. He will be starting school in August to get his HVAC certification. He is very excited to start school and I think he will do really well. Amanda is still working at the Radisson Salt Lake City Downtown as an Executive Meeting Manager. She loves her job, but cannot wait to start a family. Marlene will be here one month from tomorrow. We cannot wait to see her and spend the entire summer with her. We are currently living in Orem and would love to see everyone. Drop us a line so we can get together.
